Girl Baby Shower Ideas

Last month, we threw a sweet baby shower for our dear friend who was pregnant with a little girl. Since this would be her first baby, we wanted to make sure this was definitely a memorable celebration! We had so much fun planning and hosting this shower and we’re so happy to finally share all the details from this pretty party!

The shower was held at the club house in our friend’s apartment complex. We love the clean and modern interior of the club house. It really helped us with styling a modern and elegant look of the party. For the colors of the shower, since it was for a baby girl, we went for a darling color palette of pale pink and blush to create a sweet vibe.

The Welcome Table

To greet the party guests, we set up a small table for the guests to leave wishes for the mommy-to-be. We decorated the table with simple floral arrangement, letter board sign and sprinkled some blush/pink confetti. Above the table, we made an elegant wooden wreath with some fresh greenery and a rose gold baby balloon. It’s a simple DIY project that we did the day before the shower. It was so easy and fun! Check out the step-by-step guide here.

Backdrop Decoration

We made a gorgeous balloon garland with a combination of white pearl balloons and peach pearl balloons (you can get the full kit here). Our friend loves a natural and leafy party look so we incorporated some fresh carnation in blush, seeded eucalyptus and silver dollar eucalyptus in the balloon garland. This balloon backdrop above the dessert table turned out so stunning that we received some many compliments from the guests when they arrived!

Tableware, Food and Sweets

For matching tablewares, we used our “oh baby” collection including the pink star plates, the oh baby plates, the pretty pink fringe napkins and the pink tumbler cups. These tablewares in baby pink with gold accents are just so pretty and stylish for this shower! In the middle of the dessert table, we prepared a simple pink ombre cake and top the cake with these amazing letterboard cake toppers. These toppers allowed us to personalize baby’s name which made the cake extra special for the mom-to-be! We also prepared some popcorns in these adorable food cups with the meaning of ‘ready-to-pop’!

We played a few baby shower games including ‘guessing the baby bump’, ‘who knows mommy best’ and ‘what’s in your purse.’ These are easy games for a larger party of the group.
