“Two The Pool” Zoe’s Splish-Splash Pool Birthday Party
I can’t believe my daughter, Zoe is turning two already! As a summer-born baby, Zoe always everything about water - whether it’s splashing in puddles, playing with her bath toys, or taking a dip in the pool. So, naturally, a “Two the Pool” birthday party was the perfect theme for her special day. The party was on the labor day weekend which was perfect to end summer in a big way! Tdoay I’m excited to share all the fun decorating ideas and tips I came up with to make this splash-tastic celebration memorable for Zoe and her friends.
Setting the Scene: A Poolside Paradise
Zoe’s pool party was held at this amazing pool house which has a beautiful backyard with all kind’s of activities for kids and a gorgeous pool cabana. So Tai and I made a large balloon installation around the cabana structure with bright, pool inspired colors that Zoe loves, and a mix of fun pastels: pink, coral, blue and goldenrod. we also added some flamingo foil balloon, beach ball foil balloon and these adorable pastel floats to set the scene and to add a playful touch.Since Zoe is obsessed with splashing around, so I made sure to have plenty of colorful pool inflatables in the water for her and her friends. From gigantic flamingos to unicorns, the kids had so much fun floating, giggling and splashing! We designed a backdrop inspired by cheerful cabana colors but in a softer tone, accented with a playful balloon garland that perfectly matched the balloon installation around the cabana. To enhance the fun, we added beach ball balloons for that extra splash of pool party vibes. It quickly became the go-to photo spot for our guests, who loved capturing fun memories at this colorful corner!Adorable Cabana Inspired Table Setting
Next to the pool, I set up a long snack table filled with food, snacks, and drinks. To start, I laid a pink striped table runner over a linen tablecloth to add a pop of summer color. For the place settings, I chose cute cabana-striped plates paired with round yellow side plates. The rainbow-fringed Happy Birthday napkins and yellow-striped party cups with the flamingo honeycomb straws completed the look, bringing out all the fun summer vibes! To add some variety to the table, opt for these amazing beach umbrella shaped napkins and pair them with the poolside blue side plates and yellow striped dinner plates for a refreshing look! Snack & Cake Time: Poolside Refreshments
With all the water play, we needed easy snacks for the kids to enjoy between splashing sessions. Besides a fresh fruit platter charcuterie board that’s perfect for summertime and brigadeiros, the Brazilian truffle balls that we always serve for kid’s parties, I also made these fun, poolside-inspired Jello cups topped with Lifesaver gummies and teddy bear gummies. Not only are they simple and budget-friendly, but they were also a huge hit with the kids! These adorable sugar cookies by @saysugarcustomcookies, featuring pool-inspired elements like floats, towels, beach balls, and flamingos in soft pastel colors, were the perfect finishing touch to our snack table. They added a whimsical yet playful vibe that everyone loved!Last but not least, Zoe’s birthday cake was the highlight of the day! We chose a pastel pink buttercream cake, decorated with adorable pool-themed elements in soft colors, including flip-flops, beach balls, floats, and beach towels. Topped off with a #2 cake topper and a cute, smiley sun-shaped birthday candle, it was the perfect centerpiece for Zoe’s “Two the Pool” celebration!Party Favors: Sending Guests Home with a Splash
To wrap up the birthday celebration, I wanted to give the kids fun, water-friendly party favors to take home. I prepared these mini jelly bags in pastel pink and blue colors and filled them with mimi sunglasses, beach balls, Inflatable floating flamingo drink holders and mini towels.Zoe's "Two the Pool" birthday party turned out just as I hoped—full of fun, laughter, and plenty of splashes. She and her friends had a great time in the pool, which was the perfect setting for her water-loving personality. My heart couldn’t be fuller seeing her so happy on her special day.
